Amanti is an Extra Dry Prosecco from Veneto, made by Enoitalia from Glera. The label sits in the Prosecco DOC and carries a light 10.5 per cent alcohol level. Its style is built for freshness, with a soft bead rather than an aggressive mousse.
Pear, honeydew melon and mandarin lead the aroma, followed by orchard fruit and citrus on the palate. Extra Dry means there is a small cushion of sweetness, which lets the fruit stay round while acidity keeps the finish clean. Chill it to eight or ten degrees. It is a good aperitif, and it has enough lift for shellfish or an Aperol Spritz.
